A push in the right direction?

375 days to go...

With the one year point looming fast, my mind is on overload with wedding related topics. I decided today that as we were going up to our venue we may as well arrange to see a few suppliers. I emailed two of the most popular cake shops in The Lakes and have arranged for a little meeting and taster session on the Saturday when we get up there. They are quite close together in time so I hope a) we have enough time to nip between the two and b) we don't eat too much cake!

I also rang the florist that our venue affiliate with (we don't have to choose them and if we go with a different florist's we get £5.50 credit for each table to go towards decorations). She sounded very lovely but it turns out they already have a wedding book for 4th December next year!!! I was convinced it wouldn't be a popular date but maybe it will be the kick up the bum I need to start organising more of the major things rather than minor details (confetti anyone?!). Anyways she said they do a maximum of 2 weddings a day so she has pencilled us in for now and she said she will ring if anyone else is interested. We have also booked an appointment with her to discuss our flowery needs - I literally have no idea where to start. Although randomly I did see Les Dennis' wife with this bouquet today and I think it is the first one I actually like:

I am also going to ring the florists that my papa knows as they have offered to take up the flowers all the to The Lakes for no additional charge if we go with them. I have already seen some of their work and got some very good ideas so it will definitely be worth having a meet with them. I will try and sort it before we go away for the weekend I think.

I was going to do some physical mock-ups of the save the dates this week but I got distracted with Christmas shopping online tonight and my beautiful niece kept me occupied last night. I promise to get on with them tomorrow! I'm also feeling loads better now and even managed to venture to the gym today so hopefully I will be re-energised to new levels!
