Just in the nick of time?

312 days to go...

I was meant to have sent our save the dates out by now but have bit a little distracted lately so haven't even made a start yet! But I think this could be a slight blessing in disguise as I have now realised that I will need to include accommodation details as our rooms are slightly on the steeper side so I think it will be best to give people as much notice as possible so they can start saving. This does however now mean that I have to design a card or something similar to go in with the save a dates. It hadn't even crossed my mind to do it before so it will need a bit of a redesign. I was thinking I could put in a smaller card with the details on and tie both the cards together with ribbon...but I will have to have a play around tonight or sometime soon as it is now playing on my mind. I did end up having a few choice words with my father last night about all this (think he had one on him!) as I was trying to explain that I didn't just want to type it out in word and stick it in as I wanted it all to look lovely. He couldn't see my point so I have decided to drop it as dads/men always know best!

I emailed Angela yesterday as I wanted to check out a few things. Firstly, I have had an idea of making guests a welcome basket for their hotel room which would just consist of a little bottle of bubbly, some information on the events, a door hanger and a few other treats! I found these very cute door hangers recently and am going to nick the idea and incorporate our theme. I was thinking of going along the words of "Do Not Disturb - Recovering from H and DLC's Wedding". Giving myself more work again!

I also asked Angela if we could increase our allocation for the Friday and Saturday night as most of our guests will be travelling and staying due to where we are getting married. So have whacked up the reserved rooms from 6 on Saturday to 35 (eek!) and have also added some rooms on for the Friday too. We are all going to be arriving on the Thursday and leaving on the Monday so we can make a proper weekend of it and have time to relax before the big day - at least that is the plan!
